A community foundation is a philanthropic organization that manages charitable funds with a broad base of donors to benefit a specific geographic area—in our case, West Tennessee, eastern Arkansas, and northern Mississippi.
While most grants made through the Community Foundation are advised by the people and organizations who established private funds here, the FOREVER Fund allows us—through the generosity of donors and the guidance of community volunteers—to support innovative nonprofit work and the most pressing needs in our community.
Through the FOREVER Fund, the Community Foundation supports local nonprofits through annual, competitive grantmaking processes and through special initiatives. Our volunteer committees research and assess the needs of our community in order to award grants that make the Mid-South more vibrant and our nonprofits stronger.
Financial support for initiatives that improve Mid-South communities and the agencies that serve them
2018 investment in nonprofits driving meaningful change through the social justice platform advocated by Dr. Martin Luther King
Innovative, multi-year initiative strengthening organizations serving PreK-12 students in Memphis during their out-of-school time

The fund allows us—through the generosity of people like you and the guidance of community volunteers—to support innovative nonprofit work that addresses the most pressing needs in our community.
Our vision is broad, our focus longterm. This community’s future is only as strong as the commitment of those who invest in it today. Be part of transforming Memphis and the Mid-South, now and forever.
