Grants & Initiatives

The Community Foundation makes grants to 501(c)3 nonprofit organizations, and does not make grants to individuals. Scholarships are awarded directly to educational institutions for the benefit of scholarship recipients. Eligibility for grants varies by fund. Community Partnership Fund
This is the Community Foundation’s unrestricted pool with competitive grant rounds. There are several specific programs, and deadlines occur throughout the year. The application process is conducted in the late summer or early fall of each year. Check the calendar for upcoming deadlines.

Scholarship Funds
The deadline for most scholarship applications is April 1.


Community Foundation Initiatives
The Community Foundation of Greater Memphis seeks to actively address the needs of the community by examining community issues, securing and distributing resources, advocating when appropriate and convening meetings and conversations which encourage people to respond.

Collierville Community Fund
Grants are awarded annually for organizations serving the Collierville community. The application deadline typically is in June. Visit the Collierville Community Fund online.

Donor-Advised Funds
Grants from these funds are recommended by individual fund advisors, and the Community Foundation does not accept applications on their behalf.
