Strong Neighborhoods

The Community Foundation has been a leader in supporting neighborhoods since 1990.

Over two decades, the support of neighborhoods has taken many forms, but always emphasized the importance of neighborhood residents and businesses leading change within their own communities.

The two current neighborhood programs are:

• Strengthening Communities - an innovative grant program that builds grassroots neighborhood organizations by pairing them with university faculty members. 
• Greater Memphis Neighborhoods - a comprehensive plan to revitalize Memphis' neighborhoods.
