Tell us a little about yourself.

I am the State Leader of Keep Tennessee Beautiful and am heavily involved in the community development industry in Memphis. In my spare time I go out to eat and run. I run so I can go out to eat some more.

How long have you been a Memphian?

I grew up in southeast Shelby County and moved to St. Louis to go to college. After jumping around a little bit, I came back to Memphis in 2003 to get a master's degree at the University of Memphis and have been living in Midtown ever since.

Why did you join GiVE 365?

I'm excited about meeting other people who are interested in giving back to the nonprofit community in Memphis in a new, nontraditional way. I'm involved with several nonprofits now, but I think this is an opportunity for me to learn more about other nonprofit groups and learn from other GiVE 365 members about what areas of the community they are interested in serving.

What’s your favorite place to have lunch?

Right now, it's Fuel. But I also love the Beauty Shop and Tsunami.

Who do you think is doing exceptional work in Memphis?

The Community Development Council of Greater Memphis.

Favorite superhero?

Batman, because he is the best superhero, period. There's not even a contest.
