Tell us a little about yourself.
I live in East Memphis and love it! Everything you could need is close by, the trees are gigantic and beautiful, and my commute is super quick. I’ve worked at Medtronic since 2003 in their Spinal and Biologics business. I enjoy running, yoga, and volunteer work.
How long have you been a Memphian?
I grew up in Middle Tennessee and came to Memphis in 1995 to attend The University of Memphis – Go Tigers! I’ve been here ever since.
Why did you join GiVE 365?
This is a beautiful concept, and I want to offer support. What a wonderful idea!
What’s your favorite place to have lunch?
Caritas Village! Hands down!
Who do you think is doing exceptional work in Memphis?
Holy smokes! What a great question. When you think about it, you realize that it would take days to list all the exceptional work going on in Memphis. Sometimes I think I’m the only one with 24 hours in a day and everyone else must have more, because they are making such a meaningful impact! Nancy Coffee and the staff at The Leadership Academy; Karen Moss, founder of Better Bodies Yoga, Brother James Williams, founder of Hope Baptist Church/Homework Assistance at Bent Tree Apartments; the Junior League of Memphis; Kerry Crawford-Trisler and her I Love Memphis blog; Jenny Odle-Madden and Jerre Dye who create magic at Voices of the South; Laura Adams and the team at Shelby Farms; Rosie Bingham at The University of Memphis; Onie Johns at Caritas Village; the Memphis Runners Track Club; Angela Hamblen and Camp Good Grief; and all the truly amazing people in this city who work so hard to create and run the organizations and businesses (small and large) that make Memphis so awesome. Oh, and whoever owns Jerry’s Sno-Cones, yum. Oh, and those involved with Opus One, love it.
